Plasma in the environment and agriculture
We could very basically define plasmas as electric discharges in the gas phase.
In recent years the use of plasmas has become an excellent tool from the environmental point of view.
Plasmas are acquiring an increasingly prominent place in the treatment and destruction of highly toxic and difficult to eliminate wastes in different industries such as textiles.
And, thanks to the high quality and safety that they offer that plasma technology is becoming an excellent ally in applications related to agriculture, biology and medicine.
At the ICMS you will find the following panels and activities to learn more about plasma technology.
Panel 1: What is a plasma?
Panel 2: Plasmas in the Present World
Panel 3: The plasma sphere
Panel 4: Plasmas and decontamination
Panel 5: Plasmas in agriculture
Panel 6: Plasma in biology and medicine
Activity 1: The states of matter
Activity 2: Natural plasmas and artificial plasmas
Activity 3: Demonstrations and experiments with the plasma sphere
Activity 4: Plasma torch
Activity 5: Modification of wetting properties of materials with plasmas
